NATA Eligibility Criteria 2026: Qualification, Age Limit & Cut-off Marks

The National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) 2026 is an important entrance exam for students who want to pursue Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch) programs in India. The Council of Architecture (CoA) conducts NATA. It evaluates a candidate’s skills in architecture, focusing on drawing, observation, proportion, and critical thinking. Required Educational Qualifications for NATA 2026 Registration

  • Candidates should have passed or be taking 10+2 or an equivalent exam. 

  • They must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as required subjects. 

  • Alternatively, candidates who have completed a 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics as a required subject are also eligible. 

  • Generally, a minimum of 50% overall marks in the qualifying exam is needed (relaxation may apply for reserved categories based on the rules). 

  • It is important to understand that passing NATA does not ensure admission; candidates must also meet the eligibility requirements set by each institution.

Age Limit for NATA Exam 2026

One of the most student-friendly features of NATA is that the Council of Architecture does not set an upper or lower age limit for taking the exam. As long as candidates meet the necessary educational qualifications, they can apply for NATA 2026, no matter their age.

NATA 2026 Cut-Off Marks

There is no set national cut-off for NATA, as admission cut-offs vary by college. However, there are some estimations. 


  • To be considered qualified, candidates must score at least 70 marks out of 200 in NATA.

  • They also need a minimum of 20 marks in the drawing section. 

  • Additionally, candidates must achieve at least 30% of the total marks in the overall exam.

  • Top architecture colleges may require significantly higher NATA scores due to intense competition and strong performance in the 10+2 examination.
